There’s a design language at Synonym that is translated through the garments we make. It’s a creative play, a celebration of human emotions. Experiences dating back to childhood to the present moment trigger thoughts that constantly travel the mind. These thoughts inspire us to create garments having distinct identities that speak the language of Synonym.
Started in 2019 by Shilpi Agrawal Golchha, a National Institute of Fashion Technology graduate, the aim was to handcraft luxury and comfortable fusion clothing using timeless fabrics, hand embroideries and fine details. Working in fashion for several years under known Indian labels, helped Shilpi to hone her skills and gain an insight of the industry. Keeping mindful usage of resources and good working conditions a priority, Synonym was officially born rooted with a unique design sensibility.
